Read Time:2 Minute, 24 Second

I heard this awesome way to hustle today. I listened to a podcasts about an individual who started pooper-scooping and was earning over $4000 a month!

They eventually quit their day job and started doing it full-time, even hiring help and turning it into a full blown business.

It was funny because they didn’t like picking up their own dog’s poop, but when they made $$ doing it, they felt relaxed knowing they were working for themselves.

I like this idea because the start up costs are fairly low. Figure a scooper, some bags, a container, and a way to dispose of the doggie doo, and you’re all set.

Ok, you might want to get some gloves, maybe a mask, and some other personal protective equipment, but you get the picture. The costs to start-up should be relatively low.

Hustle Pro-Tip

There are actually two hustles that could come in to play here. Besides picking up the doggy doo, you can also offer to take the doggies for a walk (just bring a baggy just in case).

You are already there, the owners would probably appreciate the exercise for their pooch, and you can offer a buy one get one free limited time offer deal to get people interested. What a great two for one idea! That is some serious hustle there!

Get the word out!

Of course you need to advertise, but you could start off small and just do your immediate neighborhood by printing up flyers or having a set of business cards made up. You can get 500 high quality business cards from VistaPrint for $20 with free shipping. If you can get even 10% of your business cards to generate leads, you are looking at possibly 50 customers to get started. Not bad right?

Another great thing about this side hustle is that there are already people doing it, so you can see what others charge, what kind of services they offer, and model your hustle after them. There is nothing wrong with learning from your competitors. I look at it this way. There are almost 7 billion people in the world. There are opportunities for everyone!

A blog you say?

Another way to help you grow your side hustle is to start a blog. Blogs these days are really businesses in a box so to speak. With the power of WordPress, you can setup your services to be scheduled and paid for right from your blog.
